The left party that aligns itself with the UPA government at the Center accused the NDA government of unleashing a reign of terror against poor and downtrodden in Bihar while sheltering criminals and corrupt officials in the state.

The rally that started at the Gandhi Maidan culminated into a public speech at R-Block crossing.

The protestors also blamed the government for failing to take actions against police officers who they accused of beating up their leader Ashok Sah that resulted in his death in police custody.

"Twenty days have passed since the death of Ashok Sah, yet not one FIR has been filed in the case. This indicates that Nitish Kumar is only fooling the public by talking about good governance in the state," party state secretary Nandkishore Prasad said.
