Immortal Martyr Comrade Saroj Dutta - Comrade Saroj Dutt, commonly known as comrade SD, is the greatest Marxist – Leninist of our era. He was the comrade-in-arms to Comrade Charu Majumdar and was a great poet and political activist. In the early hours of 5th August, 1971, the barbarous state tyrants secretly eliminated him for extinguishing the raging flame of naxal movement. Comrade SD was the ideologue of the famous statue breaking movement, which rocked the hearts of the Bengali urban life in the early seventies. His write-ups in "Patrikar Duniyaye" in Deshabrati are treated as rare gems in the treasury of Leftist Journalism.
